n ?Heptane oxidation in a high?pressure flow reactor

چکیده
The oxidation properties of n-heptane have been investigated by conducting experiments in a laminar flow reactor at pressures 21 and 100 bar, near-stoichiometric ( ? = 0.9 $\varPhi =0.9$ ) fuel-lean conditions 0.1 =0.1$ ), temperatures 450–900 K. At bar stoichiometric conditions, negative temperature coefficient (NTC) region was detected around 600 increased pressure or oxygen concentration, the NTC behavior much less pronounced. observed concentration profiles for major species were compared to predictions with selected literature mechanisms. While all models provided satisfactory agreement fuel lean only mechanisms from NUI Polimi captured conditions. model Zhang et al. best overall detailed comparison concentrations used analysis reaction paths sensitivity under present

TiO2-photocatalyzed As(III) oxidation in a fixed-bed, flow-through reactor.
Compliance with the U.S. drinking water standard for arsenic (As) of 10 microg L(-1) is required in January 2006. This will necessitate implementation of treatment technologies for As removal by thousands of water suppliers. Although a variety of such technologies is available, most require preoxidation of As(III) to As(V) for efficient performance. Previous batch studies with illuminated TiO2 ...
متن کاملModelling of a Reverse Flow Catalytic Membrane Reactor for the Partial Oxidation of Methane
Gas-To-Liquid (GTL) processes have great potential as alternative to conventional oil and coal processing for the production of liquid fuels. In GTL-processes the partial oxidation of methane (POM) is combined with the Fischer-Tropsch reaction. An important part of the investment costs of a conventional GTL-plant is related to cryogenic air separation. These costs could be substantially reduced...
متن کاملBacterial Wall Attachment in a Flow Reactor
A mathematical model of microbial growth for limiting nutrients in a fully three dimensional flow reactor which accounts for the colonization of the reactor wall surface by the microbes is studied analytically. It can be viewed as a model of the large intestine or of the fouling of a commercial bioreactor or pipe flow. Two steady state regimes are identified, namely, the complete washout of the...
متن کاملOxidation of Ethene in a Wall-cooled Packed- Bed Reactor
Abstract--The selective oxidation of ethene over a silver on cx-alumina catalyst was studied in a pilot plant with a wall-cooled tubular packed bed reactor. Gas and solid temperatures in the catalyst bed were measured at different axial and radial positions as well as concentrations at different axial position. Total pressure, inlet mole fraction ethene, mass flow rate and wall temperature were...
متن کاملOxidation of Carbon Monoxide in a Monolithic Reactor
Solution for the complete removal of carbon monoxide from the exhaust gases still poses a challenge to the researchers and this problem is still under development. Modeling for reduction of carbon monoxide is carried out using heterogeneous reaction using low cost non-noble metal based catalysts for the purpose of controlling emissions released to the atmosphere. A simple one-dimensional model ...
